At Olentium, we believe that luxury should be thoughtful and quiet as well as beautiful.

As an independent artisanal perfume house, we create our fragrances in small batches, with care for craftsmanship, provenance and longevity. We also believe that true luxury carries a responsibility to the wider world. Every decision we make – from the ingredients we source to the way we package and ship our perfumes – is guided by a desire to minimise unnecessary environmental impact while never compromising the quality, safety or pleasure of the finished product.

Our Approach

Every element of our packaging has been carefully selected to protect our fragrances, preserve their quality and create an enjoyable unboxing experience while using only the materials necessary for that purpose.

Wherever practical, we choose recyclable materials, favour paper-based cartons, labels and shipping materials and avoid excessive presentation packaging. As perfume bottles are made from glass, protective packaging is used only where necessary to protect our fragrances and comply with IATA shipping regulations in order to ensure they arrive safely and intact for our customers to enjoy.

Our packaging is reviewed regularly as improved materials become available and as packaging standards continue to evolve.

Packaging Minimisation

We believe the fragrance itself should always remain the focus.

Every component of our packaging serves a practical purpose – protecting the perfume, preserving product quality, providing essential consumer information and/or ensuring safe transport. We deliberately avoid unnecessary decorative packaging and continually review our packaging choices to reduce material use wherever this can be achieved without compromising our the protection of Olentium’s cosmetic and silkwear products.

Where appropriate, we also reuse clean, high-quality packaging materials received from our own suppliers as protective transit cushioning, helping to extend the useful life of materials already in circulation.

Continuous Improvement

Sustainability is an ongoing journey rather than a fixed destination. As a small independent perfume house, we continually assess new packaging materials, suppliers and manufacturing methods that may further reduce environmental impact while maintaining the quality and presentation our customers expect.

Olentium maintains internal technical documentation describing its packaging system and packaging minimisation measures in support of the requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2025/40).
